my friend snagged a reservation for us. small space but the ambiance was very nice- they had dim curtains and nice lighting. Growing up with Korean food, it was very interesting to see how they took a spin on it. My friend loveddd the toro ssam bap- I definitely thought the textures and flavors blended great. The hwe cold noodles was most authentic, and met what I expected (very satisfying on a hot day)! The most interesting entree was lamb jajang. I loved the noodles they had for it, it was kind of knife cut but wider and flatter than traditional noodles. The sauce was honestly nothing like typical jajang and threw us off quite a bit. It's a lot sweeter and has little to no actual fermented bean flavor, although the color is similar. However, it grew on me as I ate more of it and ended up being the dish that stood out the most to me! They included radishes, both thinly sliced and fermented. It's a great place to try and definitely recommend visiting for those who want an out-of-ordinary meal :)

We were strolling in the West Village area and came across the 1-michelin star restaurant. Lots of great restaurants but opening only at 5 pm. A guy really wanted to dine there but it was fully booked. We didnt have high hopes and decided to make our way back stopped by Tribeca for a happy hour, got a text we were offered a table in an hour. We were excited! It had a cool interior and very nice staff. It also seemed to be very welcoming of families less stuffy. Love it! We ordered the fried chicken with caviar, the seasoned tuna caviar rice seafood wrap, the wagyu ramyeon and the family one. The chicken had an amazing season and the caviar was a nice touch. The wagyu ramyeon was very delicious and so was the tuna!! The pork belly looked pink but was fully cooked and the big shrimps were good too! Overall we had a very good experience it was worth coming back for the table!!

Lovely service and ambiance if you're able to get a reservation! Absolutely love the interior and the cute little detail choices in decor, especially the rework of Edward Hopper's Nighthawk in the corner behind the bar. The Toro Ssam Bap lives up to the hype, the elements of texture compliment each other so well and you can tell how fresh the ingredients are like WOW!!! The famous A5 Wagyu ramen and cold clam dish were also good, but the only thing I'd really only come back for the Toro Ssam Bap. Wagyu ramen was enough to share between two, good amount of meat, but the soup did not feel hot enough for the meat to be sitting on top raw like that in my opinion. The clam dish was recommended as the truffle scallop dish was not available year round (love how they switch the menu seasonally to cater towards ingredients). The clams were sitting in a refreshing sauce, but it was a cold and soupy dish that I wish had a hot bowl or rice or noodles or other textures to balance it out. Overall worth a try!

My family and I had a great time visiting JeJu Noodle Bar for a celebratory dinner. A five year Michelin star recipient, JeJu Noodle Bar specializes in innovative, Korean-inspired dishes and was surprisingly affordable. We tried the: - Toro Ssam Bap with Uni - Jogae Muchim - Manila Clams & Sea Bream - Scallop Hwe - JeJu Fried Chicken with Caviar - Ja Jang Style Ribs - Kyung Yangsik Donkatsu - Gajae Myun - Lobster with a Lobster Emulsion - Lamb Ja Jang Myun - Gochu Ramyun - American Wagyu Ribeye While everything tasted amazing, I was most surprised by the Toro Ssam Bap, Scallop Hwe and Gajae Myun. The restaurant does require a food & beverage minimum for parties of five and more, so I recommend trying this spot first with a smaller group. As a large group, we had the last seating of the day at 8PM. With its unique menu, JeJu Noodle Bar is definitely worth a visit for the adventurous diner.

Worth the wait, or at least the lamb jajiang myun certainly is! Ribs starter and ceviche also finger licking good. Family style ramyun was nothing special compared to lamb jajiang. Wagyu bowl was pretty savory, but a bit too rich for my liking. 4.25 stars! I'll be back for just the lamb noodles again someday!

Solid Michelin-starred Korean ramyun spot. The restaurant is fairly average sized and isn't too loud. Service was pretty attentive and quick. Jeju features a menu of various Korean-inspired appetizers as well as a variety of noodle dishes as mains. They don't have cocktails, but features a fairly impressive wine menu served alongside some beer and more traditional Korean options. Overall, I loved the appetizers here. The service sizes were large and presentation was great. I'd come back just to eat the toro ssam bap again. The wagyu ramen was just fine, but frankly, a bit too rich and one note for my taste. The lamb ja jang myun was really good, and the flavor of lamb permeated the dish. I like Jeju. I wasn't especially wowed by it but it's undeniable that the chefs here have great technique and the food is pretty solid. I think as one of the most affordable Michelin-star options in New York, it's definitely worth seeking out and trying, but I found it kind of weird that for a "Noodle Bar," the things that stood out weren't really the noodle dishes.

Have been dreaming of going to this place ever since I watched the Youtube video, "Day in the Life of a Michelin Star Chef" back in 2021. However, it's almost impossible to get a Resy as a normal person! They release Resys 4 weeks in advance but I never was able to catch a reservation. So how did I finally end up going? I walked in! On Sat night after walking out of a nearby jazz club at 840, we stopped by at 850 to ask for the wait time for a party of 2. We were told their last seating was at 9 and to hang out for 5-10min. We stopped by the river and lo and behold, got a call that our table was ready! We felt so lucky!! We ordered the classics of course - toro ssam bap, wagyu ramyun and fried chicken! Everything was delicious, but for the 1 Michelin star, price point, and years long hype, I am sad to say it didn't live up to my expectations. The toro was my favorite, followed by the ramyun which was yummy but nothing spectacular, and the fried chicken with cavier which was simple yummy chicken but with fancy cavier (Atoboy still my favorite!). These three dishes came out to $150, and while I'm so happy I got to experience it, I probably will not return for these three again. However I am excited to come back to try more of their very reasonably priced ramyun, pork ribs and scallop!

Yes we were fully aware of this place being known for their ramen, but we came for their appetizers. Tik tok made us aware of their app that have caviar and uni all in one--of course we had to try it! It was so delicious! We also ordered their truffled scallops and their fried chicken that came with caviar. Our minds were blown. I've never been truffled and caviar'ed out ever in my life. Definitely was in heaven. Reservation is a must here. Although not hard, but you do have to keep an eye out for an opening. OpenTable gives you options, and can notify you of an opening if you set it to. This place was delicious!! 5 stars!!
